Announcement on Encouraging Sellers to Obtain CE Marking for Mask Products
Dear sellers,
To cope with the current global demand for mask products, improve the overall product quality and shopping experience on AliExpress, and meet compliance requirements, the platform has opened the EU CE certification upload portal for protective masks on March 12, 2020 (optional, the upload portal for medical masks opened on March 4, 2020).
If the mask products you are selling have CE certification (with CE marking and in compliance with EU Regulation on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or Medical Device Directive), please upload the qualification as soon as possible. The products that pass the qualification verification will get more exposure in France and other EU countries. Otherwise, they may be restricted from being displayed in certain regions according to relevant laws and regulations.
In addition, some countries have recently issued restrictions on mask products (such as France's confiscation of masks above class FPP2). Sellers are recommended to pay close attention and promptly adjust their selling plans.

As a special reminder, to improve the shopping experience, all mask sellers need to ensure their products are legitimately sourced and of high quality. Do not sell masks and other protective products of unknown origin. The platform will regularly check the mask products:
1. If a product is found to have been improperly listed for the first time (see the Announcement released on March 5, 2020), the platform will take it off from the shelf. In case of a repeated violation, the platform will delete the product.
2. If a product is found to have been listed under an incorrect category, the penalties are as follows:
Medical masks that are not listed under the designated category and protective masks that are not listed under the above category will be removed for editing for the first time and deleted for the second time.
Stores engaged in severe violations of the platform regulations will be penalized in accordance with the AliExpress Rules on Handling Severe Disruption of Platform Order:
Serious violation: 12 points/time, freezing the AliExpress account for seven days
Extremely Serious violation: 48 points/time, closing the AliExpress account
