Operation Standard for AliExpress Adult/Sex Product Category
Chapter 1 Overview
1.This “Operation Standard for AliExpress Adult/Sex Product Category” (this “Standard”) provides for the operation and product listing publication standards required of sellers on AliExpress.com platform (“AliExpress Platform”) in order to maintain and improve the daily operation of AliExpress' adult/sex product category.
2.AliExpress may revise and restate this Standard from time to time, depending on the operation, industry developments, consumer demand, relevant national policies, and changes in any relevant laws and regulations. In the event of any changes to this Standard, AliExpress will publish such changes on the AliExpress Platform within a reasonable period of time and will not notify you separately. The updated and restated Standard will take effect from the date of its publication.
3.This Standard applies to all products under the “Sex Products” category within the “Beauty&Health” category, and also applies to certain product categories within the “Novelty & Special Use” and “Underwear, Socks, Sleep & Lounge Wear” categories. This Standard supplements all the AliExpress Rules, and AliExpress sellers must comply with this Standard and all the AliExpress Rules when they publish product listings under the categories provided above and also in other product categories.
4.[Blur Out] All product listings published by sellers under the "Adult Products/Sex Toys" category must use materials specified by AliExpress to block, obscure or redact pictures showing the nipples, sex organs or sex positions, and sellers must also comply with other requirements specified by AliExpress. Sellers may adjust the size, shape and color of the pictures, but the transparency of the blocked parts cannot be adjusted, and sellers may not use materials other than those specified by AliExpress to block, obscure or redact their pictures.

Chapter II Product Listing Requirements
1.Rules for Publishing Product Listings
(1)The following requirements apply to all pictures that consumers can see on the seller’s page, including the main product picture, pictures in the product detail page, and pictures of product packaging/instruction:
a.If any pictures contain any natural person, simulated sex instruments, or human dummies directly or indirectly showing human private parts (e.g. nipples and sex organ for female; sex organ for male; public hair; nipples; intergluteal cleft; and etc.), AliExpress may remove any such pictures that did not use materials specified by AliExpress to block, obscure or redact such parts in accordance with the requirements of AliExpress.;
b.All pictures that show a natural person or human dummy posing sexually provocative postures or positions (i.e. showing the hips, people lying down in a sex position, and etc.) will be removed regardless of whether or not the picture is completely blocked, masked or redacted.
c.Any product listings showing a natural person or human dummy demonstrating the use of adult sex products will be removed.
d.Any pictures showing the private parts of any human (including pubic hair, nipples, the intergluteal cleft, and etc.), if not properly blocked, masked or redacted using materials specified by AliExpress, or if such body part is not completely obscured, will be removed regardless of whether or not the body parts are displayed by a natural person or by a human dummy;
e.Any pictures that involve the close-up of a human private part, whether or not such part is completely blocked, masked or redacted, will be removed;
f.Any pictures that show any sex positions, regardless of whether or not the positions are blocked, masked, or redacted, will be removed;
g.Any pictures showing natural persons demonstrating any SM positions or related SM products ((i.e .products that restrain the limbs, restrain breathing, tight clothing that blocks the line of sight, and etc. are considered “SM products”), regardless of whether or not the pictures have been blocked, masked, or redacted using materials specified by AliExpress, will be deleted;
h.Any pictures showing a sex organ or women’s breasts being grabbed, twisted, or treated with other similar acts will be removed if these acts are not completely blocked, masked, or redacted;
i.Any pictures involving minors, or pictures involving the display of any body parts of minors, whether or not the minors are completely blocked, masked or redacted by materials specified by AliExpress, will be removed;
j.Any pictures showing half or fully naked bodies (for men, pictures with men with a naked upper body are excepted) will be removed, regardless of whether or not the pictures have been blocked, masked or redacted using materials specified by AliExpress.
k.Any masking of human private parts using Photoshop, mosaic, the hands of any natural person, or other materials not specified by AliExpress, is not valid.
(2)Examples of permitted product listings:
①Lingerie:
a.Product display using only the actual product;
b.Product display using a manikin;
c.When using a natural person to serve as the model for product display, the pictures do not contain any explicit or indirect exposure of the human sex organs, and the pictures do not have any act or positions that imply any sort of sexual act;; or the pictures have used materials specified by AliExpress to completely block, mask or redact the private or sensitive parts of the human body.
②Adult Products:
a.Pictures displaying only actual products; pictures that show anything with a shape that is similar to any reproductive organs must have the glans, testicles and genitals completely blocked, masked or obscured using materials specified by AliExpress;
b.When using a dummy model or human model, there is no direct exposure or word description of any sex organs (including glans, testicles, penis, vagina, nipple or areola, groin, and etc.), and there is no actual display or implication of any sexual act; or all private parts or sensitive parts of the human body have been blocked, masked or obscured using materials specified by AliExpress.
2.The AliExpress Platform has, since May 23, 2017, offered sellers with a notification function that requires seller to click and confirm whether the pictures that they intend to publish have any "Revealing Pictures" or "Pictures that imply sexual acts" under the adult products, sex toys, home decoration and other categories . All sellers within these product categories must put markings on pictures that expose human sex organs or contain implications of sex acts. Marked products, or products containing sensitive pictures or information, will not be displayed on the mobile app of the AliExpress platform based on the relevant laws and regulations in the relevant countries, but such product listings may still be displayed on the internet platform of the AliExpress Platform.
(1)If the seller’s public pictures or information contain any of the following scenarios, the seller should click "Revealing Pictures" and/or "Pictures that imply sexual acts" using the notification function mentioned above:
①Sellers need to click “Revealing Pictures” if their pictures fall under any of the following scenarios:
a.Pictures showing a natural person or any imitated products exposing or highlighting sensitive parts, including but not limited to pictures showing the breasts, buttocks, groin, body hair, and etc. (except for world famous paintings);
b.Pictures that do not show any nipples or sex organs, but from the visual perspective, one may be able to detect or perceive a fully naked or half-naked person; Examples of such pictures:

②Sellers need to click “Pictures that imply sexual acts” for pictures that fall within any of the following scenarios:
a.Pictures showing a natural person or human dummy engaging in any act that implies or suggests any sexual implication or provocation, such as pictures showing models touching their sensitive parts, tearing their clothes, flexing their hips, spreading their legs, and etc.; Sample pictures:

b.Pictures or information containing any sexually suggestive or information that are not suitable for people under the age of 18 or the legal age of local laws.
3.Sellers should use the “12-year old person” standard or perspective when making judgements on whether or not a picture fits within any of the above scenarios. The AliExpress Platform reserves the right to correct the seller’s improper judgment and/or to impose penalties in accordance with this Standard.
4.Sellers shall publish product listings in the correct category and in the manner specified by AliExpress, including:
(1)It is strictly forbidden to publish any product images with a simulated sex organ under the Beauty & Health> Sex Products>Vibrators category. The simulated sex organ product image must be published under the Beauty & Health> Sex Products>Dildos : Sample pictures:

(2)It is strictly forbidden to publish Beauty & Health> Sex Products>Vibrators related products under the Beauty & Health> Health Care>Massage & Relaxation category. Sample pictures:

(3)Product descriptions and product packaging cannot contain image nudity or any depiction of sexual acts, including text, images or video.
(4)In any non-adult-product related product categories, do not use “sex toy”, “sex product” as key words in the title or product detail.
Chapter III Enforcement actions for breach
1.The AliExpress Platform reserves the right to close any account that made a serious breach of this Standard ((in the reasonable opinion of AliExpress or such breach has given rise to any material impact to the platform);
2.The AliExpress Platform reserves the right to remove product listings, or close any seller account (in serious cases), that hide, occlude, or obscure product pictures, or hide product information by other means, with the intention to circumvent this Standards or other regulatory or governance measures of AliExpress.
