Announcement on Tightened Control of Infrared Thermometers in the Tool Industry
Dear AliExpress sellers,
As the coronavirus pandemic is getting worse globally, China tightens the control of epidemic prevention supplies, especially those for medical use. To ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and control policies, we have made the following rules for listing industrial infrared thermometers:
I. Infrared thermometer categorization
1. Medical and human infrared thermometers are medical devices, and therefore must be released under the category:
Beauty & Health>> Health Care>> Household Health Monitors>> Thermometers
according to AliExpress' epidemic prevention product control rules.
2. Infrared thermometers not for human or medical use must be be released under the category:
Tools>> Measurement & Analysis Instruments>> Temperature Instruments.
3. Sellers should move medical and human infrared thermometers listed under Tools > Measurement & Analysis Instruments > Temperature Instruments to the correct category or take them down by May 15, 2020. AliExpress will start cracking down on categorization violations on May 15, 2020. If a product is found to have been improperly listed for the first time, the platform will take it down. In case of a repeated violation, the platform will delete the product. In case of a severe violation, the platform will delete the product even if it is the first violation.
II. Industrial infrared thermometer listing
1. Product description (including but not limited to the product title, attributes, images, details, and packages) of infrared thermometers listed under Temperature Instruments shall not contain any word that indicates medical or human use such as "body" and "medical". Please complete a thorough check by April 30, 2020. The platform will start inspecting on May 1, 2020. If a product is found to be violating the rule for the first time, the platform will take it down. In case of a repeated violation, the product will be deleted. Please check your products and remove any content in violation of the rule in time.
2. Sellers should put the following statement on the product detail page:
- This product is not suitable for measuring the temperature of body surface, forehead, and baby!
