Announcement regarding the Control of Protective Mask Selling to Spain

Dear Sellers,

Protective Mask must comply with local regulation when sell to European Union market. Product quality issue may lead to penalty, lawsuit and other serious consequence from regulator and consumer if the protective mask does not have CE Certificate endorsed by European Notify Body.

According to the authorization policy on expired protective mask, AliExpress will start to control the protective mask selling to Spain.

1. Control Scope

All the masks with protective level and sold to Spain will be under control.

2. Control Details

Protective mask items must be posted into below 4 categories:

Health & Beauty / Health Care / Personal Health Care / Masks（none medical）

Security & Protection / Workplace Safety Supplies / Masks / Protective Mask

Security & Protection / Workplace Safety Supplies / Masks / Dust Mask

Mother & Kids / Baby Care / Baby Health Care / Baby Protective Mask

The masks selling to Spain must comply with CE authentication: Seller should upload the CE certificate authorized by European Notify Body. Mask must have CE Logo, Protective Level, Examination Standard, 4-digital Notify Body number and other information that requested by CE authentication.

3.  Violation & Penalty

3.1 If the protective mask does not meet the CE certification or the key information required by the CE certification is missing on the mask, the platform will block the items to be exposed to Spain market.

3.2 If the protective mask are posted into wrong category, AliExpress will delete the product with 2 penalty points.

Stores engaged in severe violations of the platform regulations will be penalized in accordance with the AliExpress Rules on Handling Severe Disruption of Platform Order:
Serious violation: 12 points/time, freezing the AliExpress account for seven days
Extremely Serious violation: 48 points/time, closing the AliExpress account
