Announcement on the Tightened Control of Dental Medical Device Products on AliExpress
Dear sellers,
In order to improve the overall quality of products on AliExpress and improve the shopping experience of buyers, the platform will open an entry for sellers to enter and upload certification information of dental medical device products from December 10, 2020, and begin to strengthen the control over products in the related subcategories from January 10, 2021. Specific requirements are as follows:

Class II dental medical device products must be listed under the medical device subcategories listed above.
Class III dental medical devices are still banned from selling on the platform.
III. Product listing rules
When listing a dental medical device product, the seller must enter its origin and enter or upload the corresponding product certification information required by the target market:
l Medical devices made in mainland China must obtain a registration number for Class II devices from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) (mandatory)
l Medical devices sold to the EU market should obtain CE certification consistent with the product description (optional)

The platform plans to open an entry for sellers to input and upload the certificates of dental medical device products from the date of issue of this announcement, and will strengthen the control from January 10, 2020.
Please adjust the product category and enter or upload the certification in time.
IV. Violations and penalties
The platform will regularly check medical device products, and the penalties for violations are as follows:
1. If a product is found to have been improperly listed for the first time, the platform will take it down. In case of a repeated violation, the platform will delete the product.
2. If a product is found to have been listed under an incorrect category, the penalties are as follows:
If the product is not listed under the specified medical device category, the product will be taken down for further edits for the first violation and deleted for the second violation.
For a seller with repeated misplacement for the purpose of evading controls, the product will be deleted and two points will be deducted from the seller's account.
3. If a seller sells recalled products and violates the prohibition and restriction rules, the products will be deleted and two points will be deducted from the seller's account.
4. Sellers who submit fake certification or certification owned by another seller and who submit fake label information or use others' label information, the product will be deleted and six points will be deducted from the seller's account.
For accounts with severe violations, the platform will impose penalties in accordance with AliExpress Rules on Handling Severe Disruption of Platform Order:
Serious violation: 12 points/time, freezing the AliExpress account for seven days;
Extremely Serious violation: 48 points/time, closing the AliExpress account.
After the release of this announcement, if there are updates or changes to relevant control requirements, the platform will issue a separate announcement to notify all sellers. Please upload relevant certification in time to comply with platform requirements and protect your legal rights and interests.
