AliExpress Notice on Opening the EU CE Marking Submission

Dear sellers,

EU CE marking applies to most of the products exported to the EU. Products with the CE marking can circulate freely within the European Economic Area (EEA), including the 27 EU member countries, 4 European Free Trade Zone member countries, the United Kingdom and Turkey).

In order to meet the growing global demand for export products, improve the overall quality of products on AliExpress, protect the consumer experience and meet compliance requirements:

1. The platform plans to add the Certification attribute in the Specifications module on the product listing page on October 16, 2020. This attribute applies to products under nearly 2,000 sub-categories that require the CE marking. If your products have the CE and/or other certification, select the CE and/or other certification attribute check box as shown below. If not, select None.

2. From November 15, 2020, the platform will add the Certification attribute on the product listing page (shown below) for the following products: 3C products, home appliances, mother & child and toys (already available for toys), beauty and health (already available for some products), and outdoor sports (already available for some products). Sellers with EU CE qualifications are requested to upload product labels (containing CE marking) and product declaration of conformity (DoC) or product certificate of compliance (CoC) in time to ensure sellers' long-term business rights and interests in the EU market.

If there are subsequent mandatory control requirements, the platform will issue a separate announcement. Please update relevant attributes and certification in time to protect your legal rights and interests.
